Set in central Texas and the Trans Pecos desert of Texas, Under The Pink Moon is a collection of poems about our transformations in life and how they are reflected in nature. When we experience pain in our life we may also find a path to joy. When we are consumed with worry we may also find our way to hope. These sometimes romantic poems highlight through the imagery of nature how our journey is reshaped when life is renewed and we start out again.
After a career as an elected official and executive in the non-profit electric utility Industry, Mark Rose now spends his time consulting in public affairs and writing. He has a Bachelor of Arts in History (Texas) and a Masters of Liberal Arts (Poetry). He lives in Alpine, Texas with his wife and four dogs.

This collection invites readers into nature’s quiet wisdom—a poetic journey through loss, love, and renewal beneath Texas skies.
